On June 22 2017, Ronald Lashley released the his rendition of Wayne Shorter Infant Eyes. A live recording done on April 20 2004 with Mamiko Watanabe on Piano, Ronald Lashley on Flute and Rob on Double Bass. Ronald became became infatuated and totally submerged into Wayne Shorter's music since being a student at Berklee College of Music. In the near future Ronald will begin his official "Songs of Wayne Shorter Project" which will cover many of Wayne's music from the early 60's.
The track art cover was design with the style of the composition. Ronald felt the best way to add to the cover design was to add his two daughters. Wayne's writing depicts a mysterious melody with a haunting effect but also captures a childlike playful idea especially in the bridge. Infant Eyes is a classic composition and Ronald Lashley certainly pays tribute to Wayne with this rendition with his Alto Flute.
